Passion: The Number One Habit of Successful Individuals

Have you ever wonder what makes people succeed in life? Or, what is that special recipe you have to follow to be able to achieve your most desired goals? If you are asking yourself these questions, I may have the answer for you.
Many people believe that in order to be successful and to achieve their goals, they have to work hard, take risks and at the same time they have to believe in themselves. I completely agree with them, but I may have to add one more “ingredient” to that list; that ingredient is passion.
Passion is defined by Sadat Ali from makingmoneyformula.com as one of the most powerful, creative and at the same time influential forces known to man. In other words, it is that invisible factor that pushes us to try harder, to work better and to reach higher in order to achieve our goals.
Michael Port, creator of the Book Yourself Solid System mentions in his book that if people are not passionate about what they are doing, if their hearts are not in it or if the things they are trying to accomplished does not have meaning for them, they are not going to devote the time and energy required to be successful. I completely agree with Michael.
When I first started writing articles and blogs, I felt like I was writing for a ghost audience. No one was reading my articles, I was getting zero recognition and on top of that, I was not getting paid.  Why did I keep writing if I was involved in such a bad deal? Well, the answer is simple; because I totally loved what I was doing and because I loved to be able to make a difference in people’s lives, and thanks to these articles, I was able to do that. I also was able to catch the attention of many newspapers and magazines editors, who after reading my articles, decided that they wanted me to write for them. That is what I consider a successful outcome achieved thanks to the power of passion.
When following your dreams or trying to accomplish X or Y task, you have to make sure you have all the tools you need in order to make the experience a less painful one. That main tool, in my opinion, is being passionate about the things you do even when that means receiving zero recognition from doing them.
Our mothers’ were right when they told us that to feel accomplished, we have to love what we do and at the same time, do what we love. By doing what we love and loving what we do, and by injecting passion into the tasks we need to accomplish will help us to complete them faster and at the same time will guide us to construct a better future for ourselves.
Next time you feel like starting or trying something new in your life or when asked to accomplished X or Y task, I invite you to believe in yourself, to work extremely hard in accomplishing your goals, but mostly to try to feel passionate about what you are doing.
You will see that putting these simple steps in practice will help you to have a more enjoyable time while following your dreams, to become a successful individual, and at the same time to feel more accomplished in life.
Remember; “follow your passion and be passionate about the things you follow, and success will follow you. ~ Arthur Buddhold ~
